Why NSW Local Engineers

On-the-ground support, not a call centre queue.

When your office network goes down, you do not want to explain the problem to someone in another state on a 1300 number. You want someone who knows the building, knows the network, and can be on site in the morning.

What local means

Why it matters

A remote support provider can fix a password reset. They cannot run a new data cable, rack a switch, or walk the floor of a warehouse to survey a Wi-Fi problem. We do both: remote support for the predictable work, and on-site engineers for the work that requires a person in the room.

What "local" means on a Tuesday afternoon

Local is not a marketing word. It means the engineer who answers your call on Tuesday afternoon is the same engineer who surveyed your office last quarter. It means we know which NBN exchange covers your building, which data centre we restore your backup from, and which subcontractor we call when the electrician is needed. It means we can be on site in the morning for a network outage that a remote provider would solve in two hours over a slow connection.

Remote support still has its place

We do not drive to your office to reset a password. We do not dispatch an engineer to install a Windows update. We resolve those remotely at no call-out cost. The local engineer is for the work that requires a person in the room: a new data cable, a racked switch, a warehouse site survey, a telehealth room setup. We do both. We do not pretend one replaces the other.

After-hours cover

Retail, hospitality and medical businesses do not run on 9-to-5. We provide after-hours cover for businesses that trade outside office hours. The number for emergencies is answered by an engineer, not a call centre queue. We tell you the after-hours rate before we start, and we do not bill you for time spent on hold.
